"How many times have I redesigned this book cover?"
There is the original novel, which current cover is a 'generic' version of what it was originally before having to discard it all due to a image distortion issue with book cover dimensions. Now that I think about it, back then I was completely 'silly in the brain' with resolutions, and did not grasp how going hi-res works based on how it is done.
The bigger, the better... somewhat, but graphic design aside (I am still a bit of a amateur in my own opinion - No need for story), this is the new cover and what I will call the 'Final' (even with the last post supposedly the final cover) cover idea to Shadow Genesis: Inception.
I wanted the cover itself to mimic an actual tome, a book that can very well be a object straight out of Shadara. It took me awhile to figure out the design, pulling from my head and its animated look (how the pieces below actually rotate like gears (Darkgear) as well as updating the Mark of Umbra for that royal look and feel. Clean steal with the 'S' mark itself what I call as Ebonyte (a Shadaran element and also very important... will not spoil)in all its energy fissure glory. The runes are made by me of course (one of many Shadaran rune sets I plan to work on via Shadara world cultures), as well as the whole book cover. I felt I could do a whole lot better, and as one can see, the cover keeps evolving.
Now to figure out the other book covers after this one... I think I have an idea... a neat idea.
